Performing Documentation is an apparatus that produces my texts/stories which are printed on an assembly line and run directly into a shredder and are thus destroyed. Since 2006, I have asked myself the question: how do I document performance? In this project I tried to change my approach and made the documentation a work in itself. Over a few hours I wrote down ongoing occurrences, combined with my thoughts about the dilemma of performance documentation. For the documentation of Performing Documentation I developed an independent system for documenting the action. I installed several cameras that I operated myself. The resulting images were then fed back into the system and destroyed. (This was then documented by others).
